Thelma the Unicorn

I've always loved to read ever since I was young I was inspired by Thelma's message that one should love themselves for who they are, even without sparkles. It's a message that can inspire not just young minds but for everyone to embrace their uniqueness.

The Challenge

To design a logo and title combination for one of the featured movies scheduled for release in 2023 and 2024. This animated logo will be utilized in trailers shown in cinemas, online platforms, and on television.

A children’s book written by Aaron Blabey that will become a Netflix animated movie in 2024.

Plot Summary

Thelma, a modest pony with big dreams of becoming a glamorous music sensation, experiences a serendipitous transformation into a unicorn during a dazzling, glitter-filled moment. This transformation propels her to international stardom almost instantly. However, this newfound life of fame comes with its own set of sacrifices.

Stardom’s Kaleidoscope

An abstract title reveal designed to convey the tumultuous journey through the chaos of stardom. In this concept, Thelma embarks on a surreal and visually captivating adventure through an abstract world of pink and dark shapes, symbolizing the challenges and chaos she encounters in the world of fame.

Stardoms Balancing Act

Thelma, the endearing unicorn character, enters the scene, perched gracefully on top of the trash can. Her posture exudes both elegance and vulnerability, representing the delicate balance required to navigate the world of fame. Above her, a constellation of stars hovers, forming a symbolic crown on her head, signifying the challenges and pressures that come with stardom.

Stardust Unvieled

By adding a touch of magic and wonder with the power of particles to create a mesmerizing and enchanting experience for the audience. As soft, ethereal music fills the air, tiny, shimmering particles start to emerge creating an enchanting, swirling dance of stardust. The stardust begins to coalesce, forming the silhouette of a unicorn. The shimmering unicorn figure is slowly unveiled along with the title, bit by bit, as if being sculpted from stardust itself.

NOTES: The sparkles are a bit chaotic, they should be shimmering evenly more. Every design would benefit from more contrast.
